Abstract

Playing is one of the important activity for children aged 0 - 5 years which is the golden age of the child's development stage. This age is the most important period for the development of children at a later age. So that children need sufficient stimulation to increase their development to be more optimal. The stimulation provided can be in the form of procuring sensory play toys that you can make yourself or also called DIY games (Do It Yourself), in which toys are made with processing that relies on simple tools and materials that are easily available around. This research will discuss what kinds of DIY (Do It Yourself) sensory play toys can be made yourself and the extent to which these toys benefit the development of children's fine motor skills. The method used is in the form of processing qualitative data obtained from interview data collection and literature review. The results of this study obtained several examples of toys that have differences that can be assessed from developmental, psychological, and design aspects that can be considered in innovation in making children's toys.
