Abstract

Sejak awal berdirinya Program Studi Desain Produk pada tahun 2015 hingga pada tahun ke-4 ini, sudah banyak keragaman karya yang dihasilkan. Mahasiswa yang diterima pada Program Studi Desain produk berasal dari SMK dan SMU yang tentunya memiliki latar belakang yang sangat berbeda. Mengamati dan memperhatikan karya-karya mahasiswa adalah hal yang sangat menarik. Karena disitu akan terlihat ciri dan karakter dari masing-masing mahasiswa. Mulai dari cara mengerjakan, goresan, bentuk, komposisi, warna, arsiran, keteraturan, kerapihan, kebersihan dan finishingnya, pasti akan terlihat berbeda. Pengamatan dilakukan pada mata kuliah dasar desain, antara lain Desain Elementer 2D dan Desain Elementer 3D dan Rekayasa Visual (Menggambar 2) Dengan menggunakan metode komparatif yang bertujuan menganalisis persamaan dan perbedaan kreativitas dari mahasiswa dengan latar belakang SMK dan SMU. Dengan tujuan yang diharapkan yaitu akan dapat meningkatkan kegiatan bejar mengajar di Prodi Desain Produk.

Abstract
Since the inception of the Product Design Study Program in 2015 to the 4th year, there has been a great diversity of works produced. Students accepted into the Product Design Study Program come from vocational high schools and high schools who certainly have very different backgrounds. Observing and paying attention to students' works is very interesting. Because there will be seen the characteristics and characteristics of each student. Starting from how to do, scratches, shapes, composition, color, shading, regularity, tidiness, cleanliness and finishing, will definitely look different. Observations were made in basic design courses, including 2D Elementary Design and 3D Elementary Design and Visual Engineering (Drawing 2) using comparative methods aimed at analyzing the similarities and differences in creativity of students with vocational and high school backgrounds. With the expected goal that will be able to increase teaching activities in the Product Design Study Program.
